Uber, Periscope and Mayor of Calgary

Who woulda thunk it?

This video leaves me gasping gape-mouthed, for multiple reasons. Not the least of which is unbeknownst-to-the-passenger live-streaming of a conversation with the driver…okay putting THAT aside, the next stunning reality is that the Mayor of Calgary would sit in a car with a complete stranger, have this conversation, and at the end of it, ask what the device on the dashboard is for…ahhh…. You’re the mayor of Calgary, you went to MIT, and you sat down in a ride share vehicle with a unknown, electronic gadget staring you in the face and didn’t ASK “what’s this?” till the end of the ride? Then there’s the Calgary mayor calls UBER CEO a dick, then the Calgary mayor discusses holes in Uber’s driver screening…and on and on and on and on. And with Uber making an appearance in season 2 of Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, thereby solving her financial problem, and all the conflict arising – not only here in Canada, but around the world with Uber…well, like I said, this video leaves me gasping gape-mouthed. What do you think?…there are so many layers to this.

Ya gotta love this ride-sharing driver though!
