Life is Amazing…
Breathe...BioDiversiTree is a living, collectively created community installation — a representation of a tree built from fallen branches and natural materials gathered from the festival site, decorated over the days of the festival by passers-by, lit at night by solar mini-lights, and finally returned, branch by branch, to the woods from whence it came.
Someone left a bad painting of a rooster on the lawn. Nobody wanted it. I did. I covered it with paper cubes made from torn eviction papers, and made a Pot of Gold.
Bullies are popular. Everybody thinks they're such nice guys. The author knows this first-hand — she grew up with one. B is for Bullies is a personal reckoning with oppression, ADHD, and the mother who saw what the bullies couldn't: that the very qualities that made her a target are what make her an artist.
